For the first time ever, the Guilford County Council of PTAs, the Guilford County Schools (GCS) Title I Department and Guilford Parent Academy have joined forces to host one dynamic GCS Parent Engagement Conference.
This free conference is open to any parents, educators or community members who are interested in learning more about important topics in GCS and ways to get involved. The conference will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Smith High School, 2407 S. Holden Rd. in Greensboro.
Topics to be discussed include understanding test scores, advocating for your child’s needs and building successful home/school relationships.
While parents are learning, kids can participate in free fun activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling and fitness. A box lunch will be served and bus transportation is available.
