Houston (CBS Houston) – Jadeveon Clowney sat out the third week of the preseason with what had been reported as a stinger, but Clowney confirmed to reporters Thursday that it was actually a concussion that kept him out.
“I mean it was just something that happened on the field,” Clowney said.
The number one overall pick said it wasn’t his first concussion. Once concussed, NFL players enter a concussion protocol that takes a minimum of three days to complete.
“Like a week. A week and a half. Almost two weeks.” Clowney said when asked how long it took him to get cleared.
