A LIVELY AND SUCCESSFUL WEST INDIAN CARNIVAL IN BROOKLYN by Francis Quamina Farrier

The Television Weather Forecasters had predicted rainfall, but that did not happen and the 2014 West Indian Labour Day Carnival in Brooklyn, New York, which was another success.
However, this article is not intended to give all the details about the spectacular event. This article is also not intended to give praise to the New York Metropolitan Police for the splendid job they did. There was one particular officer who I noticed, who was so professional, assisting revelers with their queries, and being a real professional and good cop who was living the motto of the police of “To Serve and Protect”, that I just had to go and let him know. He was very receptive and thanked me for sharing with him how I felt. But that is not what this article is all about.
