BOULDER, Colo. — A Boulder street corner became the scene of a small protest and counter-protest over the decision of the county Clerk and Recorder to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples Monday.
Richard Jacobson stood at the intersection of Canyon Boulevard and Broadway with a sign reading “Sodomy deserves hell” on one side and the other saying Clerk and Recorder Hillary Hall should “repent,” reported the Daily Camera.
It wasn’t long before a group of residents in favor of Hall’s decision showed up to counter protest.
“We gathered our friends and made some signs as quickly as we could and came out here,” Nicole White told the Camera.
